Program Development
Program
development plays a key role in the creation of locally
produced programs for the Education Broadband Service (EBS)
channels and the open cable (Comcast Channel 97).
T.E.N. collaborates with expert classroom teachers
and curriculum experts to identify areas of need for the
Pre-K through adult areas.
T.E.N. is responsive to the classroom instructional
needs of students and teachers, as well as the
professional development training needs of teachers,
administrators and support staff.
T.E.N. also responds to the community-at-large,
providing ongoing information to the public with School
News anchored by industry professionals, Public Affairs
updates, collaboration with the South Florida Science
Museum, the CuiIlo Centre of the Arts, and other outside
entities.
These programs deliver information and education on
topics such as FCAT, science support, Florida history,
restoration of the Everglades, professional artistic
mentoring for students, and more.
An adult education component for the community is
available with leased programs for English Language
Learners (Crossroads Cafe), classes teaching
citizenship, GED, adult and family literacy, etc.
A variety of programming purchased by the Florida
Department of Education and provided to the school
districts at no cost is currently being shown to the
schools and the community.
