What Is ESOL?
English for Speakers of Other Languages
(ESOL) for adults is an educational program to help you learn
a new language, English.
We want to help you, the English
Language learner adult, with English language instruction that
will increase your ability to communicate in English, in order
to find work, continue with lifelong learning and be productive
in your community.
The different skills that are covered
in ESOL classes are listening, speaking, reading
and writing. We hope that the skills you learn will open
up a world of opportunities for success in your life.
Who Can Take ESOL?
An adult ESOL student must be at least 16 years old and officially
withdrawn form the K-12 high school program. The English Language
Learner must be a speaker of another language.
What Does ESOL Cost?
The Education Department of the
United States and the State of Florida pay for English classes
for adults; so all of our classes are free!

When Are ESOL Classes Offered?
Adult ESOL classes are offered both during the day and at
night, however most of our classes are offered at night. There
are 24 Community Schools all around Palm Beach County that offer
ESOL classes, to make it convenient for students to be able
to enroll and go to the classes.

Most of the classes are offered to students all year long.
You can begin classes whenever you are ready and attend as much
as you want. In order to make the most progress, we strongly
recommend you attend every class until you have achieved your
goals.
